After an embarrassing 2-2 draw with Mozambique, the Black Stars of Ghana were eliminated from the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in the group stage, causing tears to well up in the crowd.
Ghanaians have flood social media since last night until today with accusations directed at specific people who they think are to blame for Ghana’s failure to advance beyond the competition’s group stage.
Not surprisingly, Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale jumped on the bandwagon and blamed Black Stars players for disappointing the country.
According to him, people criticize him when he suggested that the name Black Stars should change to Black Soil.
Shatta Wale slammed Black Stars players over their shambolic performance against Mozambique after taking two goals lead with just 4 minutes to end the game.
The Malisa crooner insulted and used unprinted words to descend on the Ghanaian players for causing breaking the hearts of Ghanaians.
“The most stupid thing I have ever seen in my is being a Ghanaian. We fool too much. God gave you two goals, then you concede two goals after 90minutes. You didn’t buy the TV for me so I can insult all of you (Kwasia). Some of us we are not okay, some of us have malaria,” Shatta Wale said in the self-recorded video.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian Journalists blocked the team bus from leaving the stadium after Ghana’s disappointing draw with Mozambique, demanding to speak with the Black Stars’ players and manager. This almost had disastrous consequences.
The possibility of the Black Stars losing the group stage of the AFCON for a second time has disappointed supporters and media alike.
After the draw, a number of videos have surfaced showing altercations between sections of the national team, Ghanaian journalists, and fan groups.
One video on the social media site X featured purported Ghanaian journalists criticizing coach Chris Hughton and threatening to fire him if the Football Association did not carry out its duties.
