In a statement released on July 7, the Ghana Grid Company Ltd. (GRIDCO) attributed the power outages to a lack of gas supply coming from the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and the West African Gas Pipeline (WAPCo). Following the overturn of a fuel tanker truck this morning, there has been a heavy vehicle holdup on the Accra-Tema Motorway.
