Ameyaw Debrah, celebrity blogger and entertainment pundit has disclosed in an interview how death threats from Shatta Wale’s camp made him stop writing about the artiste.
According to Ameyaw Debrah, the premise of the whole misunderstanding was when he wrote a story about Shatta Wale and Samini with the former billed to be on a show with the latter. He would then receive death threats from the camp of the ‘JJC’ crooner who wasn’t apparently happy with the story.
Here’s what Ameyaw Debrah had to say “I was told ‘If you value your life, do not write about me’ I then blacklisted him for 7 years or so. I mean if you don’t write about a particular artist and you still thrive in your business, then it means I don’t really care about you. I didn’t feel threatened when Shatta Wale told me if I value my life, I shouldn’t write about him.
Ameyaw Debrah from then on decided that he would blacklist Shatta Wale and stopped writing about him not because he was scared of the threats made on his life but because he decided to out of respect keep it that way but would eventually have some of his employers writing about him because they were fans but the camp of Shatta Wale has since allowed the issue to die a natural death.
Ameyaw Debrah further added the camp of Shatta Wale may have gotten the wrong message because it was never his intention to bring him (Shatta Wale) down as they may have thought of the story he wrote and he’s glad it’s all good from both sides.
