    New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential hopeful, Boakye Agyarko has revealed his vision for running in the flagbearship position in party.

    Speaking on UTV’s morning show ‘Mpu Ne Mpu’ monitored by InsightNewsgh.com, the former Energy Minister disclosed that the passion and service for the country drives him to run for the NPP Presidential race.

    Explaining the kind of service he want to render to the country, Mr. Agyarko said his vision is make Ghanaians have a comfortable life by lessening their burdens.

    He further revealed that if he voted president, he will tackle unemployment issue in the country. According to him, he will manage the economic wisely to produce employment the Ghanaian youth need.

    Bokaye Agyarko added that previous governments have not invested enough and invested in the right places to improve the economy to create more jobs. To this he mentioned that agriculture is the key.

    He continued that the problems of the country can’t be solved within 4 years term of the any government, adding that the impatience of Ghanaians is also another factor because they depend on governments to create jobs for them.

    In a related news, NPP will hold a special delegates conference on August 26, 2023 to choose the five candidates who will compete in the presidential primary on November 4, 2023.

    According to the game’s rules, the party will hold a special electoral college to choose five candidates for the final round if more than five candidates meet the requirements to run.

    The party intends to hold the special delegates’ conference on August 26 where the special electoral college, made up of about 900 delegates, will convene to cast their votes to choose the five candidates if more than five aspirants make it through to the contest.

    Among the five candidates, Kennedy Agyapong, Alan Kyerematen, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are expected to easily overcome the first hurdle of the race on August 26.

    The other contenders are Joe Ghartey, Francis Addai-Nimoh, Boakye Agyarko, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, and Ernest Kwadwo Poku.
