Former National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Samuel Awuku is optimistic the party will defeat the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the 2024 polls based on its solid record.

He intimates that the NPP has outweighs its political opponents in terms of policies and performance and will defeat them on this ground.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Young Democrat Union (IYDU) Conference in Accra on Friday, June 28, 2024, the former National Youth Organiser and current Parliamentary Candidate for Akuapem North Constituency maintained the superiority of the NPP’s message over the NDC.

“I know you’ve been following some of the polls about whether the NPP will win or not. But I can tell you, the NPP will win this election on strategy”

“We know the opponent is a known quantity, and we are clear in our minds that this election is between God’s people and the kingdom of darkness,” he declared.

He stressed “Policy to policy, the NPP stands tall; strategy-wise, the NPP stands tall. What we must do, which we are currently doing, is to make sure that our people, our supporters, believe in the working format, and we will win this election through the ballot box. There won’t be any contention about it at all. We can count our numbers; we pray our colleagues can collate their numbers,” he stated.

This is not the first time the NPP stalwart is expressing optimism in the ability of his party winning the polls.

A few months ago, he disclosed that the party will beat the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the 2024 polls based on strategy.

He rubbished claims of attempted rigging by the governing party; reiterating that the NPP will rely on a campaign of issues and strategy to defeat its opponents at the polls.

“The last time I came here, I told you that the NPP will win the elections based on strategy, the NDC will not understand. We are proposing solutions.

In his view “ the ballot in 2024 will be a choice between hope and hopelessness, between the future that the youth are dreaming of and the future you can never get, it will be a choice between a young man who is also determined that this is what I can do for my people when given the opportunity and the others”

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana Show, the Former National Organiser of the NPP stated that the party is focused on selling its campaign message for Ghanaians to compare and contrast, expressing optimism that his party has a superior message and strategy.

“NPP will not attempt or try to rig a single ballot but our deep thought-out strategy, planning leading to execution and also communicating what we can do to the Ghanaian people”, he disclosed.
