Biography:
Thomas Tuchel, born on August 29, 1973, in Krumbach, Germany, is a German professional football manager and former player. Tuchel began his football journey as a member of his local club, TSV Krumbach, where he was coached by his father, Rudolf. His coach at Augsburg, Heiner Schuhmann, described him as a passionate player who clashed with teammates due to his assertiveness and demanding nature.
Unfortunately, Tuchel’s playing career was cut short at age 25 due to a knee cartilage injury. After retiring from playing, Tuchel transitioned to coaching. He started as a youth coach at VfB Stuttgart in 2000. During his tenure, he secured UEFA Europa League qualification twice. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) appointed him in 2018, where he won two league titles. And also guided the club to its first UEFA Champions League final.
In 2021, Tuchel became the manager of Chelsea. And led them to victory in the Champions League during his debut season. However, disagreements with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly led to his dismissal in 2022.
Currently, Tuchel is the head coach of Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. where he continues to showcase his tactical innovation and coaching prowess.
