The Ghana Police Service has began investigations into a viral recording alleging that some of its officers purposefully inserted drugs in the car of a man posing as a doctor. Former Attorney – General and Minister of Justice and NPP Presidential candidate aspirant, Hon. Joe Ghartey, has stated that he will appoint 60 Ministers when elected as President of Ghana. A couple in Accra went to the maternity unit of the 37 Military Hospital anticipating twins, but they were shocked to receive a single baby instead. They are demanding answers from the hospital staff for allegedly being responsible for the apparent “disappearance” of one of the twin babies who had just been delivered. On September 8, 2022, a Caesarean section was used to deliver the baby. The mother of the alleged twin, Audrey Agyapong, a 38-year-old trader, and her 54-year-old husband, Daniel Naawu, are suspicious of foul play. As a result of recent decisions made on the domestic debt program scheme, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta appears to have angered the majority in Parliament. The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) and its Executive Director, COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, have been threatened with legal action by the Chamber of Automobile Dealership Ghana (CHADG), however they have now backtracked on their threats. Alleged Meek Mill’s phone thief given GH¢50,000 bailout – An Accra circuit court has released on bail a 33-year-old scrap dealer who is accused of stealing the phone belonging to American rapper Meek Mill. The bail amount is 15,000 Ghana cedis, and the court requires two sureties. The alleged perpetrator of the theft, Nuhu Sule, is currently on trial before the court presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah. If investments are added to the existing Domestic Debt Exchange Program, the Ghana Individual Bondholders Forum threatens to organize a protest against the government. The Forum claims that this will be one of several actions they plan to take to guarantee the security of their investments.
