An Accra based businessman who has petitioned Ghana’s apex court over the anti-LGBT Bill currently before Parliament has said threats on his life because of his stance against the said Bill would not discourage him from seeking a Supreme Court interpretation its constitutionality and human right infringements. Former National Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammi Awuku has revealed that even though he remains a key campaigner of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s quest to become flag-bearer of the NPP, he is not the campaign manager per se. Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has commissioned three (3) Rural Telephony sites at Tibungu, Jagriguyili, and Nagbligu in the Kumbungu and Tolon Districts – all located in the Northern Region of Ghana.  In order to provide basic telephone voice and data connectivity to underserved and unserved communities, the government has started construction of 3,000 cell sites under the GIFEC Ghana Rural Telephony and Digital Inclusion Project.
