He won the contest as against Charles Opoku of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Bernice Enyonam Sefenu of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG). The Economic and Orgainised Crime Office (EOCO) of Ghana and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to combat transborder organized crimes. Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) is fostering a close collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria in the fight against cybercrime. Combining survey results from INTERPOL showed an increase of 132 per cent of reported cybercrime between 2013 and 2015, with an average of USD2.7 million from business and USD422, 000 from individuals stolen each year.
