Political Scientist Prof Ransford Gyampo has detailed, unfair and illegitimate contract extensions for key officers at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), including the Commissioner General of GRA, Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, who has been at post even though his post-retirement contract ended in 2021. Gospel musician, Perpetual Didier has said, her family rejects the post-mortem examination conducted on her late brother, Shadrach Arloo by the Ghana Police Service. Arloo, 32 years, according to reports is said to have died at the West Hills mall following an altercation with private security guards and a police officer who were trying to search his bag. Eight students have been confirmed dead when a boat carrying eight students from the Atikagome Community in the Sene East District of the Bono East region sank on the Volta Lake. The eight were among 20 students who were halfway between Atikagome and Wayokope when the event happened. Speaking to Citi News about the incident, Ibrahim Wudonyim, the Sene East Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), said they received the tragic too late. Some Senior High Schools (SHSs) across the country have been hit with food shortages again which if not attended to, head teachers of the schools say the situation is likely to affect the health of the students in the affected schools. The two, Reverend Eastwood Anaba and Archbishop Duncan Williams, of Fountain Gate Chapel and Action Chapel International claim that the controversy surrounding the project is the basis for their request.
