A 25-year-old man, Yussif Mohammed, has been arrested after being caught with a large stash of guns and bullets near the Asankare Police barrier in the Ashanti Region. Two Ghanaian women who were kidnapped in Nigeria after they fell victim to an online romance scam have been rescued, the Ghana Police Service has confirmed from where they were being held hostage in Nigeria. The victims, Anastasia Badoo Atta and Evelyn Serwaa Konadu, were lured to Nigeria on April 22, 2025, after they were deceived by criminals posing as white men on Facebook who promised to marry them.
