Six persons have been killed in two separate communities during chieftaincy rivalry fights that broke out over the sprinkling of the traditional food, ‘kpekple’ during the celebration of the annual Homowo festival this year. Director – General of CID, Commissioner of Police Lydia Yaako Donkor has made history by being the first Ghanaian to be elected as a member of the INTERPOL Africa Committee. She is to serve a 4-year term with other members from Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa. The members from Botswana, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe would serve  for two years. The 1979 year group of the Manya Krobo Senior High School Old Students Association (MAKOSA) on Saturday 16th August converged at the school’s old site at Odumase Krobo to socialize and reflect on the 51 long years that destiny had brought them together as classmates. The Chief Executive Officer of COCOBOD, Dr. Randy Abbey, has sued outspoken politician and Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, for defamation.
