John Boadu, a former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been named acting director general of the State Interest and Government Authority (SIGA) by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, pending advice from the authority’s governing board. Edward Boateng, who left the Authority a few weeks ago, is replaced by John Boadu. Oliver Barker-Vormawor’s request to the Accra High Court to have the GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit brought against him by Minister of National Security Albert Kan-Dapaah dismissed was denied, and he was fined GH¢3,000.
