Former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Peter Tenganabang Nanfuri has passed away. He died at age 80. The former IGP Peter Nanfuri served as an IGP from 1 October 1996 to 21 January 2001. He is the supreme leader of the traditional Jirapa region with the title Naa Ansoleh Ganaa II. Nanfuri was born in Jirapa in the Upper West region. Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta today, Thursday 16 February, appeared before Parliament about the controversial domestic debt exchange programme. The Speaker of Parliament ordered the Finance Minister after the MP of North Tongu raised the matter in the house.
