The European Court of Justice has declared that FIFA and Uefa are “abusing a dominant position” and that their regulations prohibiting teams from entering independent leagues such as the European Super League are illegal. The ESL and its supporters, A22, had claimed that by threatening to punish clubs and players who joined the breakaway league, Uefa and Fifa were violating competition law. The New Force political movement has issued a press statement advocating for Human Rights and Justice in Ghana. This comes after its spokesperson, Shalimar Abbiusi was deported back to her country Belgium following her second arrest by the Ghana Immigration Service. The National Teaching Council (NTC) has conducted the 2023 Teacher Licensure Examination, and about 9,556 candidates failed it. This represents 52.6% of the 20,181 applicants who took the required examinations. In a statement, NTC said that 10,625 teachers, or 52.6% of the total, also passed the tests.
