In Kumasi, the Ashanti Region, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) seized some aphrodisiacs and unregistered herbal remedies worth GH700,000. The FDA seized illegal pharmaceuticals, including body enhancing products, from a retail market as part of a market surveillance exercise in the Ashanti Region. Numerous aphrodisiacs, unregistered herbal remedies, conventional painkillers, and cosmetics were among the items. Because they had not been registered with the Authority, the drugs that had been imported from China were seized.
