Before today’s match against Lens, Manchester United is expected to make the announcement that Rasmus Hojlund has joined the team.
Hojlund, 20, traveled to London on Thursday for in-depth examinations as part of his medical, which he completed later that day. United had intended to confirm Hojlund’s arrival in midweek, but it was delayed after the trip.
Hojlund arrived in Manchester on Tuesday afternoon later than expected, but he has already visited the Carrington training facility and is scheduled to be honored today at Old Trafford.
The Dane will become the third player to be introduced to fans before a home game in as many seasons, following Raphael Varane and Casemiro, who did so before the victories over Leeds United and Liverpool.

Rasmus Hojlund arrived at Manchester Airport at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday; on Wednesday, he was supposed to meet some fans and participate in signing-related activities; however, that was postponed as United concentrated on his medical.
Last Saturday, United and Atalanta reached an agreement on a price of £64m, plus £8m in add-ons, for Hojlund. Prior to that, United had said they would not pay more than £60m.
After United was advised against making a bid for Harry Kane, the club turned its attention to Rasnus Hojlund as its top target in the striker department.
According to senior United sources, Hojlund is a “rough diamond” who, with Erik ten Hag as his coach, has the potential to become one of the top goal scorers in European football.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Hojlund and United manager Ten Hag spoke via video call toward the end of the previous campaign. Rasmus Hojlund changed agencies and is now represented by Ten Hag‘s agent, SEG International.
Just yesterday Hojlund was pictured leaving Carrington Training Complex after completing a photoshoot at Man United.
