Naa Ashorkor Doku-Mensah, an accomplished broadcaster and actress, has joined Media General.
The best way to sum up Naa Ashorkor’s media career is interesting; she balances many different media careers, including event hosting and the art of filmmaking.
The OAP retires from Asaase Radio in Accra after three years of service in preparation for a new project and challenge.
She previously worked with GHONETV as host of the well-liked relationship program, “Tales from the powder room,” and later moved to multimedia where she hosted the Showbiz A-Z program until she announced on May 6, 2020, that her employers had terminated her contract. The multi-talented personality has long been the lot’s favorite on-air anchor.
The actress tells her new family member to celebrate with her fans in a post that she shared, “I have news, I’m thrilled to share that I have joined Media General. I can’t wait to embark on this new adventure together with all of you. so help me God”

Many online users and loved ones have cheered her on with their well wishes for her new endeavor, joining media general.

Earlier on, Naa Ashorkor informed her fans, friends, and followers on social media that she was leaving the Accra-based radio station.
She wrote in an Instagram post, “Today I say goodbye to my family at Asaase Radio. It’s been three beautiful years serving you on 99.5. My deepest appreciation to you all. Excited about what the future holds”.
There has been no mention of Naa Ashorkor’s resignation’s cause. It is a respectful breakup, though, as Asaase Radio has thanked the radio host on its social media platforms.
In June 2022, Naa Ashorkor became one of the first presenters on Asaase Radio, which is run by Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, a prominent NPP figure. The “Between Hours” program on Asaase Radio was hosted by Naa, who is also an actress.
After leaving GH One TV and Starr FM in 2017, Naa Ashorkor worked with Joy FM before starting at the radio station.
