Following National Council approval, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced a new dues payment system for its members.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the party chairman, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, revealed this information and said the decision was made at a meeting on July 20, 2023.

This decision, he said, is to restructure the membership dues in order to strengthen the party’s finances, increase recruitment efforts, and improve the welfare of party members.

“The party’s constitution enjoins all members to pay dues and also make donations to sustain the party and ensure its growth.

“In NPP when we say a member in good standing, we are referring to a party member who has been paying his or her dues fully as required,” he said.

According to him, the new membership dues structure is more practical, open, and effective, and it includes a method of payment and a procedure to ensure accountability.

According to him, the new membership dues structure is more practical, open, and effective, and it includes a method of payment and a procedure to ensure accountability.

Every member can easily and conveniently pay their dues by dialing 920270# and following the prompts thanks to the new membership dues payment system, which is designed and structured into various categories and powered by built-in technology.

The following are the dues categories:

    • Bronze category – ₵ 2.00 per month
    • Sliver Category – ₵ 5.00 per month
    • Gold Category – ₵ 8.00 per month
    • Platinum Category – ₵ 10.00 per month.

The party’s constitution also mentions patrons, who are individual party members who can choose to make significant contributions to the party’s development at various levels, including constituency, regional, and national.

The platform also enables the gathering of all patron contributions at every level.

The party has outlined a number of activities to help raise the necessary awareness and to sensitize party members on this new dues payment system, and we call on the media to massively support the party in this regard. Chairman Ntim noted that the details will be communicated soon.
