People rarely confess to being unfaithful in their relationships, especially in front of others. But stand-up comedian Kalybos, also known as Richard Kweku Asante, did just that on television.
He confessed to the Joy Prime host of The Doreen Avio Show that he had previously cheated on his current partner. When the comedic actor was asked if he had ever cheated on a lover, he replied, “Yes. Yes, the present one. After hearing his confession, the studio crowd erupted in cheers possibly as a result of his candor.
“Oh yes. I am [in a relationship]. I happened to fall into one, and I like where it is. In my line of work, most of my colleagues might not agree with this. But very important you have a relationship; have a single relationship.”
“You meet ladies, new faces all the time, so if you’re one who is picky and is not content with what he has, you might find a lady attractive, but tomorrow, definitely, trust me, you’ll find a different lady who’s more than what you saw. It all boils down to you, the guy. Assess yourself to know that I need to settle down with one lady, then the rest can follow,” he advised.
Kalybos withheld the identity of his current partner or the details of what motivated him to cheat on her. However, the director cautioned people who wanted to settle down to think it through carefully.
He thinks that doing this will lessen people’s propensity to end relationships. Kalybos went on to say that he has gained a lot of knowledge from his female siblings over the years. He asserts that one of these teachings is how to handle and treat women.
