Former France Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie Avé, has made passionate appeal to government should consider granting Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and other musicians a diplomatic passport.
According to Sophie Avé, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and King Promise deserve a diplomatic passport because they keeping putting Ghana on the globe with their creative arts better than the best Ambassadors could in a lifetime.
“Ghana, you should give Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and King Promise diplomatic passports: they put Ghana to the world better than the best Ambassador could in a lifetime,” Sophie Avé.
In August 2022, the French diplomat’s assignment in Ghana came to an end. She served in that capacity from September 2018 to August 2022.
She will resume her employment from France after being appointed on August 31, 2022, as Ambassador for Public Diplomacy in Africa by French President Emmanuel Macron.
While in Ghana, she became involved in the music industry by connecting Ghanaian musicians Gasmilla, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Becca, Fameye, Akwaboah, and Passi to French musicians Orti and Passi.

Additionally, she went ahead and planned the concerts PARIS IN ACCRA in November 2021 and ACCRA IN PARIS on the return leg in April 2022, making her influence on the Ghanaian music industry indelible.
