The Reverend Minister has faced accusations of conflict of interest and dual identity from Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu.

The Reverend Minister also serves as Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral.

“When you heard that I have been given an appointment, you were all happy; how can I go up without fighting the demons?”

Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, the founder of Power Chapel Church, posed this query during his Sunday sermon to his audience.

Rev. Kusi Boateng, flanked by many Power Chapel Church members in Kumasi, gave his congregation some words of encouragement while quoting from 1 Samuel 18.

He said, “Many are the afflictions of man, but God shall deliver them from some of them,” assuring the church of his courage to face the difficulties ahead of him.

Is your father going through this, is the query. You have my word that I will handle this honorably. Everyone of you should unwind, enjoy yourself, and stop wasting time fighting on Facebook.

Prof. Otchere Addai Mensah, CEO of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, requested that the Church refrain from attacking Rev. Kusi Boateng’s detractors on social media.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a North Tongu MP, has been informed by the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) that his request for a probe into Rev. Kusi-Boateng, Secretary to the Board of Trustees for the National Cathedral, will receive the necessary attention.

Mr. Ablakwa requested CHRAJ to examine an alleged transfer of GH2.6 million in cash from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a business he said belonged to Rev. Kusi Boateng, in accordance with Article 218 of the 1992 Constitution.

Additionally, he claimed Rev. Kusi Boateng had numerous identities and was involved in a conflict of interest.

The MP petitioned CHRAJ to look into the situation because of these grounds.
