The young man who appeared in a popular video and threatened the Ghana Police Service and the Armed Forces by saying he and his gang would break into the Bank of Ghana unannounced and rob it has since claimed he did not mean what he said.
He claims that he is from Qatar and that he accidentally leaked the video due to an argument with a friend who wanted him deported to Ghana.
The beginning of the original footage, he said, was only explosive; the later part puts everything in perspective.
He added that the original footage was longer than what has surfaced online. He pleaded with the media, the Armed Forces, and the Ghana Police Service to disregard the video.

In the video, he is heard threatening to storm the Bank of Ghana with all manner of weapons and take all the money out of the bank.
He has since made another video to ask for forgiveness, saying that those who know him can attest to the fact that he is not capable of doing what he said in the viral video.
However, realizing the seriousness of the trouble he must have brought upon himself, he has done so. He urged reporters and anyone else interested in the complete video to get in touch with him.
