Rosemond Brown, a socialite better known by her stage name Akuapem Poloo, claimed that ever since she converted to Islam, she has lived her life in accordance with Islamic principles.

Since her conversion to Islam, Akuapem Poloo has claimed that she has been living in accordance with Islamic principles. Speaking on ETV on Wednesday, she claimed to follow all of the religion’s teachings, including five daily prayers.

When questioned about the differences between Islam and Christianity, she had an epiphany. She claimed that she thought there were no differences between the Christian and Muslim religions.

“To me, I don’t see any difference between the two religions. It’s the same way we worship God, the same way we worship Allah. The difference is you say God and I say, Allah. Poloo changed his religion in 2022 from Christianity to Islam. She claimed that her decision to convert was motivated by her son and not by a man.

She added that she now covers while she is dressed and that being a Muslim has significantly affected her life. She no longer dons clothing that makes her body visible.

Poloo appeared on ETV to discuss her next film Kotoka, whose Accra debut is set for Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023, at the Silverbird Cinemas.

Ruby Benson, a 34-year-old high-class businesswoman, and Naya Essel, a 28-year-old unemployed graduate, are the subjects of the novel Kotoka. Both are divided by status and removed by way of life, but they are nevertheless linked by a decision they both took. A decision that defines ultimately
