Three of his former employees have accused Sir David Adjaye, the architect of the National Cathedral, of sexual assault.

The three women are all black, in their forties, connected professionally, come from well-to-do families, and are all single mothers, the source claims.

It went on to say that all the women accusing the architect were once his friends and shared other friends before he hired them to work with them in his firm.

The women, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed that their interactions with the renowned architect disrupted their careers, caused them mental anguish, and, worst of all, put them in a precarious financial situation.

The three women also mentioned that they made the decision to come forward in order for other women who have been subjected to the architect’s harassment to do the same and come forward to discuss their experiences with him.

The well-known architect questions why the three women would now be accusing him of things he didn’t do when he has admitted that he had affairs with all three of them and that they were all consensual.

The report also stated that an attorney for Adjaye claimed that each of the three women had “their own grievances” against Adjaye.

When questioned about the claims made by the three women, Adjaye responded as follows: “I absolutely reject any claims of sexual misconduct, abuse or criminal wrongdoing. These allegations are untrue, distressing for me and my family and run counter to everything I stand for.”

He added: “I am ashamed to say that I entered into relationships which though entirely consensual, blurred the boundaries between my professional and personal lives. I am deeply sorry. To restore trust and accountability, I will be immediately seeking professional help in order to learn from these mistakes to ensure that they never happen again.”

The Financial Times magazine’s Investigations division broke the news on July 4 in a lengthy piece titled, “Sir David Adjaye: the celebrated architect accused of sexual misconduct.”
