Assin North by-election results on Tuesday resulted in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) losing its bid for a parliamentary seat, and a Polling Station Executive blames Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the party’s defeat.
Mr. Dominic Owoahene speaking in an interview on Metro TV monitored by InsightNewsgh.com, he accused Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of interfering and projecting himself during their campaign prior to the Assin North by-election.
He said while they were on the ground canvassing vote for NPP’s candidate Charles Opoku, Dr. Bawumia was busy projecting himself.
According to him, during their last campaign at Assin North constituency, Dr. Bawumia and his entourage walked through the crowd while Mr. Alan Kyeremanten was speaking to the supporters.
Mr. Dominic Owoahene claimed that the actions of the Vice President drew the attention of the NPP supporters to himself and making Alan Kyeremanten looking less of important.
