Mohammed Kudus, a star for Ajax, has won the 2023 Ghana Football Awards’ Footballer of the Year honor.
The 22-year-old outlasted stern opposition from Lens midfielder Abdul Salis Samed and Genk forward Joseph Paintsil.
On Sunday, June 25, 2023, the awards gala took place at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
ASFAR’s Favor Ernest Nuamah won the Odartey Lamptey Future Star award, while Shine Agbomdzi received votes for Women’s Footballer of the Year.
Sampson Eduku of Tamale City was named home-based player of the year, and Medeama SC was chosen as the male club of the year.
