Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North, has filled his nomination forms to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s flagbearership candidate.

In a viral video spotted on social media, the outspoken MP and businessman was mob by thousands of NPP supporters who showed up to support him as he stormed the NPP headquarters in Accra to submit his nomination forms.

Kennedy Agyapong addressed the media shortly after filling his nomination forms. In his speech, the controversial NPP Presidential aspirant urged Ghanaians to believe in me because he has good plans for the country if voted president.

According to him, over his 23-years of serving the country as a Member of Parliament, one major problem he has identified which has run through all governments and they are unable to tackle is unemployment rate in Ghana.

To this, Kennedy Agyapong called on Ghanaians to trust him on this issue because he’ll make sure every Ghanaian youth gets a job to do.

He also added that during his campaign tour around the country, during his interactions with the ordinary Ghanaian, he realized that politicians have not been fair to the citizenry with their big campaign promises.

However, he is ready to change the narrative if voted president. According to him during his tour in the Volta Region, he said the region has a lot of untapped natural resources and that alone can provide many jobs for Ghanaians.

“As a Member of Parliament for the past 23 years, I have to admit the challenge of the government and successive government have been unemployment and, therefore, I have taken it upon myself to reduce unemployment rate in this country. I want you to believe in me that whatever I say by the grace of God and with good health, I will deliver,” Mr. Agyapong said.
