Gyan said in a statement that he decided to hang up his boots because he thought the time was right.
Gyan last appeared for the national team at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which has been over four years since his last game.
He was also left off of Ghana’s World Cup roster last year, which led to the Black Stars’ early elimination from the competition.
An absolute legend of the game 🔥
