Shatta Wale, the king of the dancehall, has recently made some shocking claims about other musicians and the Kotoka International Airport.
He claims that some Ghanaian artists use the Kotoka International Airport to smuggle hard drugs into and out of the country.
The singer of “Ayoo” was responding to remarks made about Hajia4real’s arrest in the US on social media, where his name was listed as one of her aides.
Shatta vehemently denied any affiliation with fraudulent activities in an emotional video that has gone viral on Twitter and expressed his disbelief that such accusations were being made against him.
“As they have arrested hajia4real, some people have been asking the FBI to check me. I’m seeing everything on the internet and I didn’t have the time to react but now I am,” he said.
“Do you think I’ll do fraud? Why would I engage in fraudulent activities? Big men in the country have crossed their arms and are waiting to see if I’ll be arrested, saying because of the way I am,” Shatta Wale continued.
The contentious dancehall musician also claimed that many Ghanaian musicians export drugs, a practice that the Kotoka International Airport is aware of and keeping an eye on.
“Once upon a time, I was told there are Ghanaian artists who smuggle cocaine outside the country and the airport monitors them. The airport knows, go and ask them how many artists travel with cocaine that they’re aware of,” he revealed.

It remains to be seen how these allegations will affect the artists involved and whether the necessary authorities will launch any investigations or take any other actions.
This is not the first time an industry insider has claimed that the majority of celebrities engage in all manner of illegal business to support their flashy social media lifestyles.
