I’m so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner.
She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer. She was inspiring, warm, funny and generous. She helped me so much when I was young and I will never forget her. pic.twitter.com/TkG5VrdxXO— Mick Jagger (@MickJagger) May 24, 2023

Who is Tina Turner?
The “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Tina Turner first rose to fame as the lead singer of the duo Ike & Tina Turner before embarking on a hugely successful solo career.
Tina started her career in 1957 with Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm and debuted as Little Ann on her first recording. In the 1970s, after divorcing Ike, she launched.
Her 1984 album Private Dancer became a global success after she ended her relationship with Ike and began performing alone.
The song “What’s Love Got To Do With It” made Tina famous and helped her win three Grammy Awards in addition to selling over 20 million copies.
She was given an intestinal cancer diagnosis in 2016. Her high blood pressure was treated with homoeopathic medicines, which prevented kidney damage and failure from occurring. She was informed that her chances of receiving a kidney were poor and that she should begin dialysis.
Later, Bach offered to donate a kidney for her transplant, and on April 7, 2017, Tina underwent kidney transplant surgery.
Tina informed Gayle King in June 2019 that she had retired in 2007 following her final tour, “I got on that plane … I took a deep breath, and I said, ‘It’s over.’ I really felt like it’s over. And I’m glad it’s over. And I went home.”
