The most watched song on Ghanaian TikTok is “Alomo Gyata.” Even though many people enjoy the song, it was written in pain.

The song was sampled from the Highlife hit song “Akwankwaa Hiani” by Noble Adu Kwasi.

Reacting to the issue of copyright and alleged song theft, Aligata, the musician behind the viral song revealed that he has already began the process of normalizing the anomaly.

Explaining further, Aligata said he did the song as a freestyle but never knew the song would go viral.

According to him, when he shared the song and realized it got a lot of impressions from music lovers especially on TikTok, he contacted the original owner of the song Mr. Noble Adu Kwasi to rectify the copyright in order to claim it.

The ‘Alomo Gyata’ crooner also disclosed that he has a very good relationship with Mr. Noble Kwasi and the legendary highlife musician has given him his blessings to go ahead and use the song.

He made this known during an exclusive interview with Halifax Ansah-Addo on Best Entertainment Show on Okay FM.

In a related news, few weeks ago, Aligata told ZionFelix in an interview that the viral song was composed out of broken heart.

Explaining what prompted him to use the song’s instrumentals to create his now-viral freestyle, he said “well, that song was written out of a broken heart experience, I have like 30 songs written out of broken heart…It is a pure broken heart song. But I liked the beat, so when I heard the beat, I was like today I am not doing anything in the house so let me go and download the beat…so I downloaded and used it.

“I edited it myself and I knew what I wanted to say but I had luck with words at the time, so when I got hold of the microphone then I started singing and it’s been over five months ago,” he said.
