Akwaboah Jnr, a renowned highlife singer from Ghana, lost his father, Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr.

On Tuesday, May 16, the singer announced the news on Instagram with the caption “RIP Daddy.”

The singer of the well-known song “Awerekyekyere,” Kwadwo Akwaboah, recently collaborated with his son, Akwaboah Jnr., to remake the song.

The song’s remake, which came with a beautifully recorded studio performance, captured many people’s attention and received a ton of airplay.

Master keyboardist Akwaboah Snr. also performed for numerous national and international bands.

Even though the legend had lost both of his eyesight before his death, he continued to play musical instruments in a few videos that were discovered on social media.

His cause of death is still unknown.

In other news, following her extradition to the United States for her alleged involvement in a $2 million romance scam, socialite Hajia 4 Reall has been defended by Ghanaian mental health activist Nana Abena Korkor Addo.

Hajia has been accused of fraud and money laundering by the US Attorney’s Office for her involvement in a romance fraud scheme.

Ghanaians have denounced her for previous interviews in which she claimed to have labored long and hard for her money before being revealed to be a fraudster.

Abena Korkor, who has previously served time for drug smuggling in a U.S. prison, has attempted to comfort Hajia.

She claimed that since American prisons were well-equipped, she shouldn’t worry too much about spending time there.

She added that she would return to Ghana after her incarceration and continue to be a star there.

In a post on social media Abena said “@hajia4reall you are a tough nut to crack. You may have made some mistakes but you rise above it. I always believe in reformation. US prisons are well equipped if you are there. Take the time to reflect on your life and come back a winner. Book deals, more music etc awaits you. May God be your strength.
