After Ghanaians criticized this year’s hosts, popular Ghanaian radio personality and singer Jon Germain expressed interest in hosting the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
TV personality Berla Mundi, actors Naa Ashorkor and James Gardner, and the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) Grand Arena served as the venue for this year’s event, which took place on Saturday, May 6, at the Grand Arena.
Reactions to how these people presided over this year’s event have been polarized.
Despite the fact that they are all excellent speakers, it may not have been a good idea to combine them.
The atmosphere on stage during last year’s edition, which was hosted by Giovanni Caleb, Sika Osei, and Berla Mundi, was just right.
But given that the hosts did not get along, it seems like this year’s choice wasn’t the best.
However, Jon Germain stated in a tweet, “They should hire me to host/MC Ghana Music Awards.”

The yearly VGMAs are thought to be the most illustrious occasion on the entertainment calendar of Ghana.
Previous events have been hosted by a number of well-known individuals, including Kwami Sefa Kayi, Nana Aba Anamoah, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), and Chris Attoh as MCs.
The VGMAs took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on May 6 and were hosted by Naa Ashorkor, James Gardner, and TV personality Berla Mundi.
Black Sherif was named Artist of the Year at the conclusion of the evening, with many other artists winning awards in various categories, including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Piesie Esther, Perez Musik, King Promise, Lasmid, and Epixode.
Famous Ghanaian blogger Ameyaw Debrah revealed that the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards now resemble a talk show rather than an awards ceremony.
Debrah has attended numerous award ceremonies around the world, including the BET awards.
Ameyaw Debrah has joined the chorus of people who have expressed their displeasure on social media about some of the events that occurred at the recently concluded VGMA24, which ended last Saturday.
Even though he was on stage to present an award, he claimed that the way the awards were organized left him unimpressed after the show.
