Multiple award-winning Dancehall artist, Stonebwoy has bemoaned his inability to cling the ultimate top award Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year.
Recall, in 2019, Stonebwoy came close to winning the VGMA Atiste of the Year award but unfortunately, a fight broke between him and Shatta Wale on stage as the ‘Everlasting’ hitmaker pulled out a gun on stage.
Charterhouse Productions later on annulled the results and stripped the two biggest Dancehall artistes of all the awards they won that night.
Stonebwoy paid a surprise visit to a young fan by name Charis, who was seen in a viral video singing word to word his latest song ‘Into the Future.’

Speaking shortly after the presentation, the musician lamented that he deserved to win the VGMA Artiste of the Year award during the same time he won the “Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year,” for 6 consecutive times.
According to him, all things being equal he should have won the ‘Artiste of the Year’ 4 times within the same time he won the “Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year,” since 2016 to date.
“Let me be very honest without disrespecting anybody, I have won ‘Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ 6 consecutive times, is just like a Ballon D’or behavior. So if I have won the Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year 6 consecutive times, then I should have won the Artiste of the Year 4 times,” he told the reporter.
