John Dramani Mahama has taken a lot of heat from former National Democratic Congress (NDC) deputy general secretary Koku Anyidoho.
He is now threatening dire consequences for Ghana if the former president wins the elections in 2024.
On April 26, 2023, the former deputy general secretary of the NDC claimed that Ghana would be cursed if Mr. Mahama were to hold the Sword of State for a third time.
Koku Anyidoho claimed that the former president’s desire to run for office again is motivated by “greed.”
“Let’s not allow John Mahama to curse Ghana with his greedy agenda,” Mr Koku Anyidoho tweeted.
If John Mahama holds the, Sword of State for the third time, it shall be a curse on Ghana 🇬🇭 . He held the Sword of State on July 24, 2012, and January 07, 2013. Let’s not allow John Mahama to curse Ghana 🇬🇭 with his greedy agenda.

Meanwhile, to meet former president John Mahama at Sehwi Juaboso in the Western North Region on Wednesday, thousands of NDC supporters defied torrential downpours and heavy rain.
The former president, who is currently the NDC’s presumptive presidential candidate, was in the area for a two-day visit to inform the local delegates of his intentions.
The Juaboso constituency chairman told Adom News on Wednesday that they defied the rain to meet Mr. Mahama as a sign of their devotion to both the party and him.
Speaking to the crowd, Mr. Mahama vowed to make Ghana better while in office and begged the residents of Sehwi Juaboso to support him.
Additionally, he stated that the NHIS would be revived under his subsequent leadership.
Also present was Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, a member of parliament for the Sehwi Juaboso constituency and ranking member on health, who expressed dissatisfaction with the NPP administration over the mismanagement of the National Health Insurance Fund.
He claimed that the NPP’s failure to pay off accumulated debts nearly brought the scheme to an end and that the NDC would work to improve it.
In a related news, Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the position of flagbearer in the New Patriotic Party, criticized those who questioned his suitability to lead the NPP into the general elections of 2024.
He claimed that being a candidate for president entails more than just having good English.
The outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central claimed that because of his contributions to the NPP, he is qualified to serve as party leader.
Kennedy Agyapong urged party delegates to make the right decision when speaking to them in Koforidua.
