A commercial bus driver’s wife, age 26, is believed to have been killed by her husband with a cutlass. Police are currently looking for the culprit, Micheal Abeiku Hagan, who is currently at large.
On Friday, January 13, some of the deceased’s family members learned about the tragedy at their residence in Oyoko New Site in the Eastern region’s New Juaben North Municipality.
They described how the deceased was discovered on the floor of the bedroom of their Oyoko New Site residence while wearing a blue flower top and blue shorts.
Upon inspection, several cutlass wounds were discovered on her legs, hands, fingers, head, forehead, and back.
The police were notified right away, and they quickly traveled to the location to start their inquiries.
While the culprit is still being sought after, the Eastern Regional Police Command has not yet made an arrest.
Three children were born to the deceased and the suspect.
Locals and family members are baffled as to what could have happened to cause the tragic tragedy on Friday morning.
However, trustworthy sources affirm that there was a marital conflict.
Pastor Eric Addo claimed, “The man came to me a few days ago to report a marital issue he wished I address between him and the wife who was our church member. But the woman travelled, so I was waiting for her to return so that I call both parties for us to resolve the issue amicably. It is very sad we have lost the woman. I am deeply shocked.”
The deceased’s body has been placed in the morgue at St. Joseph Hospital for an autopsy and additional investigation.
