Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a gentleman par excellence, stationed as a Presidential Staffer at the Jubilee House, has apologized for sharing on social media, what has turned out to be a doctored video of Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Aboagye has accordingly deleted the said video and explained that it was a pure error on his part which he realized later.
Denis Miracles Aboagye tweeted: “I sincerely apologise and have subsequently removed the Asiedu Nketia Video I shared earlier. My attention has been drawn to an original video which clearly shows the earlier one I viewed and shared was doctored. Obviously, this version I saw and shared had been tampered with, which isn’t right. I withdraw accordingly, with apologies.”
While many responded to Mr. Aboagye’s tweet as a courteous and decent display of exemplary maturity , other took him to the cleaners.
The said doctored video portrayed Asiedu Nketia saying what had been altered to mean he was inciting electoral violence.
The said video went viral on political circles in the wake of reports that the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Bryan Achemapong had uttered supposedly inflammatory comments allegedly that was captured in audiovisual form.
