The Ministry of Health (MoH) has been given permission from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to hire 6,387 nurses.
Assistant Clinical and Nurse Assistant Preventive graduates from a variety of public health training institutions who graduated in 2019 and June 2020 are eligible applicants.
This was stated in a letter addressed to the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, and signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Abena Osei-Asare, dated November 16, 2022.
“Further approval has also been granted to the Ministry to utilise the outstanding balance on the previous financial clearance of 3,335 to engage the 2019 degree and diploma referral batch,” the statement noted.
According to the statement, the clearance expires on December 31, 2023, and the appointment will begin to take effect on March 1, 2023.
Meanwhile, Superintendent Effia Tengey, a former Accra Regional Public Relations Officer for the Ghana Police Service, has left the organization.
This comes after serving for 18 years.
She informed a select group of friends of this in a message as she pursued other interests.
“Please this is to inform you that I have formally exited from the Ghana Police Service after 18 years of active service,” she wrote.
“Permit me to use this medium to thank you all, l mean everyone of you, for your immeasurable support during my appointment as Public Affairs Officer of this noble profession.
“We will definitely meet again hopefully in a different working environment.”
Effia Tengey served as the Volta Regional Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) in addition to the Accra Regional Command of the Service.
