Yesterday, the Black Meteors put pressure on the opposition right from the start of the game.
The loud Ghanaian fans at the stadium made it difficult for the Algerians by singing and cheering.
Ghana scored in the 12th minute thanks to some persistent questioning and some very impressive teamwork.
Before lifting a lobbed cross into the far post, left winger Ernest Nuamah did some outstanding work on the flanks.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, a talented young player, beat the Algerian goalkeeper and the advancing defenders with a strong header to score with the goal gaping.
Before the half, Ghana had numerous opportunities to score again after taking the lead but didn’t take advantage of the opportunities.
The game ended with Ghana winning 1-0 despite numerous additional opportunities for both teams in the second half.
The Black Meteors will be looking to make a statement at the Moroccan tournament.
