Vice President Kamala Harris of the United States has a playlist for her official visit to Africa that features musicians from Ghana.
Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Kuami Eugene, and M3nsa are among the artists with songs on the 25-song playlist that was made public.
Additionally, the playlist featured songs by innovative and original Ghanaian artists like Herman Suede, Ria Boss, Amaarae, Moses Sumney, and Moliy.
On her travel playlist, H.E. Kamala Harris has included musicians from Tanzania and Zambia, two countries she plans to visit while in Africa.
On March 26, 2023, the US vice president arrived in Ghana and officially began her trip to Africa. She will stay in Ghana for three days before traveling to Tanzania on Wednesday, Zambia on Friday, and then the United States on Sunday.

The first female vice president of the US paid a visit to Vibrate Space on Monday. Local collective Surf Ghana opened the Ghanaian music workstation last October, and it features audio recording, mixing, mastering, and editing tools, as well as consultations and Masterclass sessions.
She stated in a tweet that she planned to listen to other talented African musicians who are creating timeless, irresistible masterpieces.
“I am releasing a playlist featuring the artists from my travels across Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia, including many of the Ghanaian and Ghanaian-American artists I met today like @blacksherif_ and @amaarae,” she wrote.
Kamala Harris gave a speech at the gathering during which she emphasized the close ties between Ghana and America and expressed her admiration for the artistic output of Ghanaian artists.
She acknowledged the substantial influence that the arts and culture have on society.
