Dana Charles Reeve (née Morosini) was born on March 17, 1961, in Teaneck, New Jersey, and grew up in Scarsdale, New York. She was the daughter of Charles Morosini, a cardiologist, and Helen Simpson Morosini. Dana attended Edgemont High School in Scarsdale, where she developed a passion for the performing arts. She went on to graduate summa cum laude and also Phi Beta Kappa in English Literature from Middlebury College in Vermont in 1984. Dana also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and pursued additional graduate studies in acting at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California.
Acting Career:
Dana Reeve had a diverse and accomplished career in acting. She appeared in numerous television shows, including guest roles on “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” and “Oz.” Dana also had roles in soap operas such as “All My Children” and “Loving.” Her theater work was extensive, with performances on Broadway, off-Broadway, and at regional theaters across the United States. Some of her notable stage performances included roles in “More to Love,” “The Last Night of Ballyhoo,” and “Summer and Smoke”.
