Her parents, Jorge Fernandez (a tennis coach and former soccer player) and Irene Fernandez (née Exevea), also played a significant role in shaping her athletic journey. Leylah’s younger sister, Bianca Jolie Fernandez, is also a tennis player, and her older sister is named Jodeci Fernandez.
