Shilese Jones was born on July 26, 2002, in Seattle, Washington, USA. Her parents are Sylvester Jones and Latrice Bryant.
She has two sisters. Shilese qualified for junior elite gymnastics in 2014. Her elite debut was at the American Classic, where she also showcased her talent on vault. Over the years, she competed in various national championships, consistently also demonstrating her skills. Shilese transitioned to the senior level in 2018. She has been a key member of the U.S. gymnastics team, also contributing to gold medal victories at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships and the 2018 Pan American Championships. Individually, she also excels in the uneven bars, winning silver and bronze medals at the World Championships.
Shilese is also a two-time U.S. National Champion on uneven bars and the 2022 U.S. National Champion on floor exercise. Shilese Jones is also known for her perseverance, overcoming injuries, personal loss, and setbacks. Her dedication to gymnastics has earned her six world championship medals.
