During his 28-year career in the U.S. Marine Corps, Williams served as a chief prosecutor at Camp Pendleton in California. He also flew 56 combat missions during the Gulf War. Williams also worked as a federal prosecutor in the District of Colorado and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, handling cases related to child abuse, drugs, street crime, and fraud. He later became a lawyer for Peco Energy Co., an electric and gas utility in the Philadelphia area.
In 2020, Williams was elected to represent District 160 in the Pennsylvania House, which includes parts of Chester and Delaware Counties.
