Kennedy Agyapong, a politician and businessman, has revealed that he is only qualified to serve as vice president and not as president, according to private Lawyer Maurice Ampaw.
The outspoken attorney feels that the unconventional politician needs to gain experience on the job before aspiring to the position of President because he has given a good account of himself as a lawmaker.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Hello Fm, which MyNewsGh.com listens to, he revealed that Mr. Agyapong could team up with either Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia or John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten for the election of 2024.
“He can be a very good Vice President to anybody who becomes flagbearer; either Alan or Bawumia. I think he needs to warm up. He has served well as a parliamentarian and needs to learn on the job. The President is a difficult one so it would be best he warms up as a Vice President before eyeing the ultimate”, he advised.
He added that he can move from Vice President to President after gaining experience on the job and that his age is on his side.
Maurice Ampaw reprimanded the businessman after he threatened to leak information and bring down the NPP.
Mr. Agyapong stated in an interview with Kumasi’s Sompa FM that if attempts are made to bring down his businesses, he will “finish the party” with his disclosures.
The flagbearer hopeful said during an interview, “I am being nice and charitable to NPP (members), they shouldn’t dare me, they shouldn’t dare me…I will finish the party, the things I will say. The things I know that I have kept quiet”.

Since the beginning of the year, MP claims, he has been the target of a state-sponsored manhunt by members of his party. He claims that the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has been used as a tool to intimidate and obstruct his business operations.
He claimed that the GRA intended to station staff at his cold chain stores to monitor the amount of fish he sells each day and issue warnings, “Let me say this, I have gone past intimidation. They cannot use the system to intimidate me, I have to say this, I have opened businesses across the last five presidents. I never went through any of this harassment.”
