The 2003–04 Saint Joseph’s Hawks, led by West and Nelson, achieved an impressive 27–0 regular-season record and made it to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament. Delonte West entered the NBA after being selected by the Boston Celtics with the 24th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft.
