At the Wireless Festival in Abu Dhabi, Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif gave a moving performance in honor of the late Christian Atsu.
The singer, who is 21 years old, was one of the performers at the concert on March 11th at Etihad Park in Yas Island.
Black Sgerif dedicated his performance to the late football player and sang “Songs of Freedom” by Bob Marley and the Wailers.
As he sang, pictures of Atsu and messages honoring the late Black Stars winger appeared on the LED screen behind him.

On February 18, 2023, Atsu’s death was officially declared after his lifeless body was discovered after the earthquake in Turkey.
After the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria in mid-February, there had been days of active search.
Numerous people have sent their condolences to the football player’s family and loved ones as tributes have poured in from near and far.
At the Adjiriganor Astroturf Park, the deceased footballer’s one-week observation took place last week. His funeral is scheduled for March 17.
Victor Osimhen, a Nigerian international, also paid tribute to the late Atsu and called him an African brother.
The active Napoli forward went on to express his condolences to all the families of those who lost loved ones in the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria.
He had previously donated his jersey to be sold in support of a campaign to raise money for the victims of the earth.
“The earthquakes in Turkey? I don’t know how much my jersey was sold for; even my teammates like Bartosz Bereszynski and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sold their jerseys.
“Eljif Elmas organized this campaign and of course, we supported it. My condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquakes. I also lost an African brother in these earthquakes, Christian Atsu from Ghana,” Osimhen said, as quoted by Tutto Napoli.
