His football journey began at a young age when he joined the youth academy of CO Les Ulis, a club known for producing talented players. In 2013, Martial made the leap to professional football when he signed with AS Monaco. His performances caught the attention of scouts and fans alike. In September 2015, Manchester United secured Martial’s services for an initial fee of £36 million, also making him the most expensive teenager in football history at the time.
