Allan holds a degree in anthropology and a master’s degree in employment law. After working in investment management for several years, she set up her own employment law consultancy, also specializing in discrimination and maternity issues.
In 2015, Lucy Allan became the first Conservative MP and the first female MP to represent the Telford constituency. She has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Telford since the 2015 general election. She was also re-elected in the 2017 and 2019 general elections. From 2020 to 2022, Allan also served as the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Leader of the House of Commons, Jacob Rees-Mogg.
She is now an independent politician.
